Welcome to Imran Saleh's Official Web Page!

Yes, this is the boring biographical page about me. Maybe when I become famous, people will flock to this page to read about me, but I guess that's a while off. In the mean time here's the scoop...

My name is Imran Saleh (obviously) and I live in Marietta, GA (about 20 minutes from Atlanta). I was born on [birth date removed], so that makes me 17 years old (feel free to send me cool stuff on my birthday) I'm currently in the 12th grade at Westminster.

My Interests

Oh, I'm a pretty varied guy. I've been playing the piano for 11 years, and I enjoy that a bunch. My current (and favorite) piece is Op. 31 Scherzo in Bb Minor by Chopin. I like sports like cross country and tennis. I'm a big University of Alabama college football fan. I'm on my school's Science Club, and Honor Council, and my favorite activity is being Business Manager of the school newspaper. Doing that, I get to manage money (without the words Stock and Market being involved), and get newspaper subscriptions, which is pretty fun. I'm also into computers and have a knack of working well with them. Sure you could call me smart for designing this web page and all that jazz, but I just enjoy doing this kind of thing.

What I'm doing (or should be) right now

I probably should be working on those wonderful college applications. Actually they aren't as bad as many make them out to be. If I happen to get in anywhere, I'll post some tips on this website about essays, activities and such. So check back later.

What I Aspire to Do

You'd think that because I had to write about 7 college essays on this topic I'd know the answer. But honestly I don't, and I hope college will help me figure this out. My favorite areas are computers, medecine, and business. Having this in mind, I think I want to major in Biomedical Engineering and minor in Economics, because they match up with pretty well with my interests. My dream is to become a CEO of a biotech company and help in the search for disease cures. But whatever I end up doing, I hope to make a difference on people besides myself.

What I Have Done

You heard that I'm into Medecine. In 10th grade English, I wrote my end-of-year thesis on American Literature and The Human Genome (Genetics is one of my favorite subjects). You can check it out here. No plagarizing, please.

I'm also in to Stocks. For a while in 9th grade, I tried to make daily stock picks. Unfortunately none of my picks really worked out. I guess it was a good "learning" experience (I learned how bad I was at playing the stock market game). You can check out the remnants of the site by clicking on the "My Stock Site" link to the left. Hopefully my luck will fare better when I start investing for real.

Anyway, enough about me. Go check out the rest of my site. The most popular page is the AOL Color profile page where I show you how to add color to your profile. Or you can check out my photo album full of cute pictures of me (obviously), go to Info Isle, or play some of my online games. Whatever you do, make sure to sign my guestbook, leave me feedback and please do e-mail me if you'd like, I'd love to here from ya. isaleh@isaleh.com
